Where Have You Gone Green Thumb?...

GMy poor plant has died [R.I.P.] My parents gave it to us in August. I've also killed an orchid and the plant on my desk at work. I'm thinking my green thumb isn't so green so with that said, I'm happy we don't have a yard :) With everything going on with the wedding and condo renovations, I've failed to remember to water my poor plant. I'm thinking cactus and other succulent plants are more my style :)

Over the Weekend...

Bonnie [my future mother - in - law] and I spent most of Saturday organizing our kitchen cabinets and putting away our shower/wedding gifts. We accomplished what we set out to do and most of our 2nd bedroom is clear of all gift boxes! The trash man might think we robbed a Crate & Barrel store...lol.

On Saturday night we ordered the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight and watched the fight with our friends Dustin and Robert Moore [both groomsman in the wedding] The fight was fun... can't wait for Mayweather to lose to Pacquiao! Below is a photo of the beautiful tray I purchased earlier in the day... Our beers balanced perfectly during the fight :)

On Sunday my parents came over and we continued to work on the base molding. We sealed the molding to the walls with caulking. It's looking really great. Mid-way through the molding, Mike and my dad hung our beautiful mirror with hooks in our entryway. I LOVE it!

After they hung our mirror with hooks they worked on puppy-proofing our balcony. We decided to use mesh and lattice on the balcony to protect our beloved Morgan Simon Seybert. I'm really happy with the way the lattice looks... I think it adds a great touch to our balcony. The final photo below is of our fake Morgan :) My mother gave him to us as a gift at one of my bridal showers.

Getting Organized...

Welcome to our 2nd bedroom :) This weekend Michael's mom is coming over and we are going to go through all of our gifts and put everything away.

Michael went to IKEA today to but more rolls of our shelving... the shelving is rubber-like and not very fun to work with so I've been avoiding it. I can't stand the messy room any longer so we're going to tackle the pile this weekend. Then we plan to move my bedroom furniture from my parent's house into this room.

I LOVE being organized so I cannot wait to get this done!

Mmmm... BBQ!

We finally used our new BBQ! Michael put it together a few weeks ago but one of the parts was missing [the axle to connect the wheels]. We called Crate & Barrel and they sent us the missing part.

While I was at a meeting with our wedding florist, Michael was working hard at the BBQ! He picked up steaks, corn, coals and propane [it uses both] and he prepared a FANTASTIC BBQ dinner :)
