Take all of our food out of the Pantry...

Make a trip to Target to buy Raid and

Food Containers

Put Food in Containers

Spray Raid EVERYWHERE

and Put Food Away

The ANT nightmare started this morning around 8:45 a.m. I was on my way out the door and I opened the pantry to take a package of oatmeal with me [just like every other day], and to my horror ants were everywhere... including crawling up my arm. Then came the SCREAM [and a few cursing words I won't mention] and the nightmare began.

I have never in my life seen so many ants... thousands! I called work and told them I was going to be a little late. Then I stood in front of the Pantry for about 5 minutes before I could get myself to begin the cleaning.

I pulled EVERYTHING out of the Pantry... started wiping and wiping and wiping. I had no Raid and no ant traps. After getting all of the food out, I decided to make a trip to Target to buy Raid, ant traps and containers for our food. By the time I made it back home, thousands of ants were back... it was as if I didn't even wipe out the cabinets. I still cannot figure out where they are coming from.

I had to throw away a few things, but thankfully most of our stuff was sealed and ready for containers! PS, I started wiping ants at 8:45 and it is now 11:30... I am sweating and NOT going to work :(

I spent my day cleaning and monitoring the situation in the kitchen. I also sprayed Raid on every window seal, door seal and put ant traps outside. I pretty much sprayed the entire parameter of our condo.

Hopefully the ants won't be back anytime soon. UGH!

Writing My List... Checking it Twice

Wedding invitations were mailed over the weekend and people have received them! I was super happy to get them out... yet another thing I can check off of my list. We have accomplished quite a bit in the last few weeks.

We're getting there! I can hardly wait till the big day!

Apple Green is our Fav...

We finally moved our apple green Weber [Crate&Barrel] BBQ to the condo. I absolutely love it... it's a more functional version of the "old school" BBQ. My aunt & uncle Cris and Caryl bought it for us from our registry. They also bought EVERY accessory for it... matching green bowl, matching green platter, matching green grilling gloves, grilling spatula, grilling tongs and the cover. CLEARLY we will be having them over for an awesome BBQ dinner.

Curtain Call & Thank You Notes...

We recently hung our new curtains... we went with the grayish-blue, satin curtains from West Elm. The curtains I originally loved were not so pretty in person [they were really thin and cheap].

Curtain Drama... As much as I love these curtains, I did not love the fact that our sliding glass door is massive and we had to purchase 4 panels [double the price I planned to pay] in order for them to close properly! They do look beautiful and I cannot complain.

I finally had some time to work on my thank you notes from my 2 bridal showers. We received so many wonderful gifts. Thank you notes are in the mail!
