The 92688 [RSM]...

This past Sunday, Mike and I decided to visit Lake Rancho Santa Margarita. We've driven by. watched the 4th of July fireworks, but we've never actually walked around the lake during the day. I must say it was beautiful and I was sad that we hadn't visited sooner.

The weather was perfect, the trail was nice, the people were nice and there were dogs and ducks everywhere [yes, we brought our beloved pooch along with us].

this is only a fraction of the lake

Half way through our walk we noticed a table set up with free coffee, water bottles and dog treats! It was awesome! We hope to visit every Sunday morning. Like I told Mike: We pay for this! Good old mello roos!

Plumbing on Independence Day...

Happy 4th of July.  We spent most of our day working on the condo.  My parents picked up our new master bath vanity at Lowes...  it's amazing.  We have so much more counter top space now for the blow dryer, curling iron, makeup, yadda yadda.

While Michael and my dad worked on the new vanity, my mom and I made a trip to the grocery store for a little barbeque by the pool.  While on our way to the store, we noticed a sea of towels and chairs on Lake Rancho Santa Margarita...  we quickly realized that the 4th of July holiday drew quite a crowd to the lake and we would have an interesting night with parking and seating.

When we got back from the store we went down to the pool and grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and corn!  MMMM!  Then we swam for a bit.  After the pool and barbeque, back to work we went!  The vanity will be completely finished tomorrow.

We went down to the lake around 8:45 ish and made a small hike to see the fireworks show. The fireworks were great and we will definitely be up early to grab our spot for 4th of July 2010.

New Home, New City...

Michael & I closed escrow on a condominium in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA on June 4th!  Talk about meant to be...

I first saw the condominium with our realtor Zen withOUT Michael.  I knew in the first 30-seconds of seeing it, that it was our condo.  Of course i couldn't make an offer before Michael saw the place, BUT there was another verbal offer on the table.  The next day, we put our offer in writing and it was accepted.  It was our first offer so we really lucked out when it was accepted.

We hit several bumps in the road during escrow... some were heartbreaking, some were nerve wracking but it was all worth it!  We were supposed to originally close escrow on May 11th so you can see how long of a process this became...  MUCH longer than anticipated.

Thankfully, our family, friends and realtor Zen supported us all the way!  We are so happy with the condo and happy with the new city we live in.  Rancho Santa Margarita is a beautiful place to be and we cannot wait to meet new people!  We are hard at work with painting, ordering appliances, cleaning and more!  I will post photos of our progress soon!

Thanks again to our family and friends for your love and support during this process!
